The KMOX Sports team was in the locker room on Friday following the St. Louis Blues’ morning skate and talked with several players as they addressed the media.
Following two losses in Chicago this week, Blues right winger T.J. Oshie said the team plans to “get out and play really direct and just go after it” tonight as they take on the Blackhawks in the game 5 of the Stanley Cup playoffs at the Scottrade Center.
“We want to get the momentum on our side right away,” Oshie said. “Obviously, after losing the last one, the momentum is on their side.”
What adjustments will the Blues make tonight? Oshie says “sharpen up some mistakes on the D-side of things, get some more pucks to the nets and we’ll be okay.”

Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk agrees that a quick start is key in tonight’s game.
“I think we have to get off to a fast start,” Shattenkirk said. “We don’t have to win the game in the first five minutes, but we have to set the tone.”
Shattenkirk explained that the Blues don’t always get that early jump they’re looking for. He said the earlier they can put pressure on the Blackhawks, the better.
