ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A St. Peters man has pleaded guilty to stealing the identity of a north St. Louis County woman.
Thirty-eight-year-old Deandrea Robinson appeared in U.S. District Court and admitted he stole the identity of the victim to take control of the business entity that owned the victim’s home.
Robinson then borrowed against that equity, according to a report.
The lender then foreclosed upon the home of the victim, who had no idea the loan had even been made to Robinson.
When he’s sentenced in September, Robinson will be ordered to spend two years in prison and pay restitution.
