ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Cardinals signed their top 2014 draft pick on Monday at Busch Stadium.

Florida State pitcher Luke Weaver will make the slot value of $1.843 million, according to MLB.com sources.

The 6’1 170-pound righthander was the 27th pick in this year’s draft.

Weaver will head to Jupiter, Forida later in the week to suit up with the Cardinals’ Gulf Coast League affiliate.
