This week Mark Reardon spoke with Jeff Kunin, the chairman of radiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, during the Washington University Olin Business School Executive Edge.
Kunin co-founded DERMAdoctor in 1998 and has helped in the strategy and vision of the company since that time. In addition, he has helped in the business development and growth of the company especially in areas of internet development, finance, human resources and strategic partnerships.
He graduated college with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from University of California, San Diego. Kunin then graduated medical school and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Then he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Medical College of Virginia and Henry Ford Hospital. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in body imaging at the University of Michigan Hospitals.
Kunin was in private practice for 15 years in Kansas City prior to being named Chairman of Radiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital in 2007. Currently, he is also attending the Washington University in St. Louis Olin School of Business and expected to receive his MBA degree in December 2015.
He and his wife Audrey have been married for 22 years. They have two children, Matthew (19) and Sophie (14).
