Sunday night at Chaifetz Arena was especially memorable for 22-year-old Tom England.
England was in the pit section at the sold-out Bruce Springsteen show when Springsteen noticed the 4-foot wide cardboard sign England brought to the concert.
“He (Springsteen) made eye contact with me and he went, ‘What do you want to do?'” England told KMOX’s Mark Reardon. “And I just yelled back at him and said, ‘I want to sing with you.'”
Springsteen pulled England from the crowd to play “Working on the Highway” with the E Street Band.
“It’s just a fun song,” he said. “And I just made sure that I played it how Bruce would want it to be done. I was a part of the E Street Band and I need to back it up.”
England described the experience as a dream come true.
