Illinois Sends Help, Supplies to Flooded Louisiana Communities

(KMOX) – Illinois’ Department of Central Management Services is helping some flooded communities in Louisiana.

Driver Tim Neitzel says the CMS Federal Surplus program answered a call looking for help.

“We have sandbags, some cots and a water purification system so they can use all that. They got all that together and sent me down to Louisiana with a truckload,” he says.

CMS also helped in Louisiana during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
