WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ (KMOX) — A brand new poll of Missouri likely voters, released today by Monmouth University, shows a dead heat in the race for President.
Trump stands at 44% and Clinton at 43% with a margin of error of 4.9%.
Missourians think less of Hillary than they do Donald, though. Her unfavorable is 56% and his is 53%. More think she would do a better job of looking out for the little guy and more think she would do a better job handling race relations.
As for the other big races, Senator Roy Blunt leads in his re-election match against Jason Kander by 5 points. 45% approve of the job Blunt has done in Washington, D.C.
For governor, it’s Attorney General Chris Koster with a sizable lead over former Navy SEAL Eric Greitens by 11 points — 51 to 40%.
Missourians are still getting to know these two, despite Koster serving in a statewide elected position and Greitens running in a heated primary.
55% have no opinion of Greitens and 49% have no opinion of Koster.
But asked who would do a better job handling race relations, Koster is first with 37% to Greitens’ 26%. 32% said they don’t know.
