Suspicious Package Found Outside North County Elementary School

NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX)(UPDATED 6 p.m.) The Bomb and Arson team was able to neutralize the package, which contained an electronic device, county police tweeted, “but it was not a bomb.”

The incident is under investigation.

Our previous reporting is as follows:

Students have been evacuated and bomb and arson detectives are on the scene after a suspicious package was found outside Moline Elementary School in North St. Louis County.

All children are evacuated and safe, St. Louis County Police tweeted.

Police ask the public to avoid the area.

County police released the following statement:

“Our Bomb & Arson unit is assisting 1st pct with a suspicious package at Moline elementary 9865 winkler. No injuries, and just precautionary. Everyone has been evacuated as we investigate.”
