Cardinals Pitcher Trevor Rosenthal Activated From 15-Day D.L.

ST. LOUIS (NEWS RELEASE) – The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior to Thursday night’s game in San Francisco, that they have activated right-handed pitcher Trevor Rosenthal from the 15-day disabled list.

Rosenthal, 26, missed 47 games since going on the disabled list July 26. He was sidelined due to right shoulder inflammation.

Rosenthal is 2-4 with a 5.13 ERA and 14 saves in 40 games (33.1 IP) this season while striking out 48 batters.

The 2015 National League All-Star posted back-to-back 40-save seasons in 2014 (45) and 2015 (48) and is ranked 5th on the Cardinals’ all-time saves list with 110.
