ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Those blues ticket stubs, signed programs and other memorabilia you’ve been holding on to all these years, could find a place in a new exhibit.
“50 years of blood, sweat and tears attribute to the St. Louis Blues and our fans,” Blues President and CEO Chris Zimmerman says. “What well be doing is basically telling stories about our history.”
Jen Hatton with St. Louis Public Library says this unique, new partnership between the two St. Louis institutions came about over books – of course!
“An official from the Blues actually attended one of our book clubs,” Hatton says. “One of our librarians…started talking and thought this would be a great thing that we could do something small and it became something large.”
The exhibit will run from December through March at Central Library. Many items will become part of a permanent collection as the library becomes the official archival home of the St. Louis Blues.
Items can be donated or loaned to the Blues temporarily. The exhibit will be available for people to view, by appointment, and after the main exhibit closes.
