Eighth Suspect Pleads Guilty in Frontenac Smash-and-Grab

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The final person out of eight people charged in the November smash-and-grab at Saks Fifth Avenue in Frontenac has pleaded guilty.

Dejaun Wingard of Chicago pleaded guilty to interstate transportation of stolen property. Wingard and seven others stole Chanel handbags the Saturday after Thanksgiving last year and drove into Illinois.

They were stopped near Litchfield. Everyone involved faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.
