Sinkhole Takes Bite of Construction Lift; Two Workers Injured

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Emergency crews were called to the scene after a lift being used in downtown St. Louis tipped over, injuring two workers.

The incident happened just before 2pm on Thursday in the 1300 block of 6th Street, not far from the Dome at America’s Center.

KMOX’s Kevin Killeen reports the two workers were covering graffiti on a building in the area when the tire of the lift fell into a sinkhole, causing it to tip.

Both workers had only minor injuries and walked away from the scene.
