ST. LOUIS (BLUES) – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has activated defenseman Jay Bouwmeester (BOH-mee-stuhr) from injured reserve (IR). Bouwmeester has been sidelined since fracturing his left ankle during 2017 training camp.

Bouwmeester, 34, is in his sixth season with the Blues. In 2016-17, the 6’4, 206-pound defenseman logged 15 points (one goal, 14 assists) in 81 regular season games. The Edmonton, Alberta, native also played in 11 2017 postseason games, serving four penalty minutes. Overall, Bouwmeester has appeared in 1,071 career regular season games, recording 391 points (82 goals, 309 assists) and 559 penalty minutes.
