ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Dangerous toys on store shelves again this holiday season.

In its annual survey, the Public Interest Research Group found toys and balloons sold without choking hazard warnings – despite the fact that that is the No. 1 cause of toy recalls – and data-collecting dolls that could violate your child’s privacy.

Says the group’s Mark Litt, “A stranger could access the doll on a bluetooth connection with a password, and then access or spy on your kid,” noting the ‘My Friend Cayla’ doll, for instance, has been banned in Germany and reported to the Federal Trade Commission, but it’s for sale at Walmart and Kohls, among other stores.
