This week Mark Reardon spoke with Chris Lindley, CEO of Endorphin, during the Washington University Olin Business School Executive Edge.

Through Endorphin, Denver-based fitness centers, Lindley fosters the philosophy that it’s not just about exercise —  it is about changing people from the inside out; it is about fitness, nutrition, embracing physical and mental challenges, and a positive can-do attitude.

Prior to launching his own endeavor, he spend over a decade on public health. Most recently he served for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment,
as the division director for the prevention services division, the organization’s largest division with a budget of over $200 million. While there, his mandate was to  create a climate in which change is the norm and people are encouraged to think creatively and are rewarded for innovation. Chris also served as director for the state of Colorado’s Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response.

Today, he combines his background in public service and fitness to welcome individuals to his fitness centers where the mission is to create an environment that challenges and changes you: physically, mentally, and emotionally. As he says,”At Endorphin, Movement is our Drug.”
