Scaring Up A Good Time At Johnnie Brock's Time once again for our annual peek inside the massive Johnnie Brock's Dungeon costume shop at I-44 & Jefferson. Seems customers are taking their costume cues from the movies this year, according to "costume guru" Mary Beth Placke. She says "everyone", young and old, wants to be an Avenger, or Batman, or Catwoman, or even Bane. Of course perennial favorites like Dracula, Spider-Man and zombies are also flying out the door. One costume that was hotter than hot last year that isn't that much in demand this Halloween is the Rally Squirrel, despite the Cardinals return trip to the playoffs. "I think he's just harvesting nuts for the winter," said Placke. "We thought about bringing a cat (to Busch Stadium) and running it across home plate, maybe starting something new".
