It’s not the amount of snow rolling in today that has the Missouri Department of Transportation worried – it’s the timing.
“If we are negligent and don’t get to the repair work, we are absolutely liable for that,” says MoDOT District Engineer Becky Allmeroth.
“There are things that are just downright disgusting that people throw out from their cars that nobody would want to touch”
“Meteorologists nailed this. The storm came in hot and heavy. We endured four or five hours of heavy snow.”
MoDOT’s maintenance engineer Becky Allmeroth says the department is not taking the current forecast of 1-to-3 inches of snow at face value.
