Mississippi River Crests in Midwest As More Rain Looms

The National Weather Service said the river had crested in the St. Louis area and the Illinois towns of Grafton and Alton further north.

Dutchtown Neighborhood Dealing with High Crime

The latest crime numbers from St. Louis police show overall crime is down 7.7%, but some neighborhoods appear more dangerous than others.

Mississippi Crests at St. Louis, Begins Descent

The river reached 35.5, feet 5.5 feet above flood stage, at a gauge near the Gateway Arch early Thursday morning but had fallen about a half-foot by midday.
