Health officials are warning consumers to avoid prepackaged caramel apples because they are linked to four deaths and more than two dozen illnesses in 10 states.

Hawkeye Food service is recalling two lots of hard-cooked egg products due to concerns the product could be tainted with listeria monocytogenes.

“Anytime there is a contaminated food product, we are concerned and take steps so that it’s removed from shelves as quickly as possible and to notify consumers.”
