The Justice Department has launched its investigation into police practices in Ferguson, and yesterday St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said the DOJ will also look at practices in his department.

The Missouri National Guard has completed its departure from Ferguson where the citizen-soldiers were summoned to help quell unrest after the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown.
St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley estimates it will cost from $90,000 to $100,000 a day in police overtime for St. Louis County officers and their efforts in Ferguson.
