Not all of the 250 cakes celebrating the city’s birthday are finished yet.
The hope is to raise awareness of what remains a significant problem in St. Louis and nationwide.

After 6 weeks of voting and more than 40,000 votes cast, stl250 announces the top 50 public vote finishers for Cakeway to the West.
It begins New Year’s Eve, when performers at First Night will incorporate the anniversary into their acts.
How will St. Louis celebrate its 250th birthday next year?
2014 will mark the 250th year since the city’s founding fathers arrived on the St. Louis riverfront and the entire region will mark the event with a year-long celebration.
