Todd Combs, the stepfather of Christopher Marks who drowned in the Meramec River last August was sentenced Monday.
Todd Combs admitted providing alcohol to Marks and six other teens during a Sunday evening family outing at the Pacific Palisades Conservation Area.
Prosecutor Bob McCulloch wanted to charge Todd Combs, 42, with manslaughter after he allegedly provided alcohol to Christopher Marks and six other youths.
Todd Combs, 43, pleaded guilty to seven counts of second-degree child endangerment Thursday. All seven charges are misdemeanors.
Police say 12-year-old Marks consumed alcohol before drowning in the Meramec River August 5th.
